I was introduced to Anna by someone who had previously worked with her and said she was brilliant at helping to scale product teams—and they were absolutely correct. When Anna arrived, we had little process and a misaligned product and engineering team, which really struggled to deliver.
We had various big projects to accomplish in a very short space of time. Anna jumped straight in, going above and beyond expectations to ensure we hit delivery on those projects. She did this by using a commercial and pragmatic approach, rarely seen in product and engineering leads.
Anna spent a lot of time really unpicking the root cause of the issues we had in product and engineering. Then, playing this back to us, she set about building out the correct strategy to achieve our goals and executing it over the next few quarters.
When Anna joined, we had little to no leadership in product and engineering. Anna helped us to identify what 'great' looks like in these roles. She then went on to help us find and hire those people. She seamlessly executed the whole process, from assisting recruiters to sourcing candidates, to onboarding new employees, and checking in weekly with them on a 1-2-1 basis.
Overall, I can say Anna has transformed our product team and our longer-term thinking on how product & engineering should be managed. I would highly recommend her to anyone who is scaling a digital product.
